A cracked or torn boot allows contamination of the CV joint grease, which can lead to premature wear over time and even the need to replace the axle. The boot can be stretched over the EZ Trail system's reusable mounting cone, which facilitates boot replacement. The material is designed to remain flexible even at very low temperatures.
